Operative range of services

Surgical services can be performed either on an outpatient basis ("day surgery") or as part of an inpatient stay at the clinic (Praxisklinik Travemünde). Emergency treatments are possible at any time, a physician is permanently present during the indicated emergency consultation hours, at night and on weekends as well as holidays, surgical and internal emergency care is provided in the surgical practice by a physician of SANA Kliniken Lübeck GmbH.

Arthroscopic operations (minimally invasive joint endoscopy using the keyhole technique)

Knee arthroscopy
  • Osteoarthritis treatments (microfracturing)
  • Removal of free joint bodies
  • Suture of meniscus damage
  • Removal of meniscus damage
  • Cruciate ligament replacement operations
  • Treatment of patellar dislocations (modern minimally invasive surgical technique using the keyhole technique, MPFL-plasty)
Ankle arthroscopy:

Trauma Surgery

  • including the treatment of accidents at work and on the way to work insured by the statutory accident insurances (transit doctor procedure)

  • Removal of the osteosynthesis material inserted during fracture treatment
  • Treatment of tendon ruptures (e.g. minimally invasive Achilles tendon suture)

    • CRPS I degree (Sudeck's disease)

Foot surgery

  • Bunion of the big toe [hallux valgus] with titanium screw or with modern dissolvable pin (sonic pin)
  • Metatarsophalangeal joint arthrosis of the big toe [hallux rigidus] (stiffening of the metatarsophalangeal joint, partial endoprosthesis of the metatarsophalangeal joint)
